A logo design app is not going to create a branding masterpiece – but you know this. Some people are simply looking for a quick, cheap logo that reflects their start-up brand until it has expanded enough to merit a full brand identity created by a professional designer or agency. Here are five logo design makers that are fast, sophisticated and good value.
Similar to Facebook and Twitter, everybody who creates an Instagram account has a profile and newsfeed. Users can interact with one another by following, being followed, private messaging, and commenting on or liking photos or videos. The in-app filters and editing options Instagram offers make the app unique because it was the first app to offer in-app editing to this extent.
Instagram is a photo-sharing platform. The photo itself is key. You shouldn’t take a picture just to post one, and you certainly shouldn’t post just any picture. When you’ve determined your subject matter, be sure to keep in mind the following photography best practices. I know – it sounds like a lot of work. But I can tell you the brands that are absolutely slaying the Instagram game are taking the time to do this and seeing the results.
Whether you have a website or are still dreaming up ideas for a blog, you can also look into affiliate marketing. With affiliate marketing, you partner with brands and businesses within the content of your website. If you mention a product or service, you link to that produce or service using a unique affiliate code you received when you signed up for that particular affiliate program. From there, you’ll make money any time someone buys a product or service through your link.

Similarly, you can drive some traffic to your Instagram page by commenting on other posts from local or product/brand-related accounts. Find posts using the hashtags you've curated in the previous tip and leave a few comments here and there. This can help connect you with potential local customers and customers within your industry, and drive a bit of brand awareness. Try to leave meaningful comments instead of things like "Great photo!" - this will help you build relationships with other brands.
Again, if your blog has a large reader base, then businesses may be interested in paying you to review their services or products. Not only will you get a free trial using whatever these businesses are selling, you will also get a fee for writing them a review and posting it to your site. If you are a budding photographer and would like to be paid for your craft then you should consider setting up your own photography website. As I mentioned, one of the biggest benefits of having an Instagram for Business account is that you're able to link to external URLs from your Story (which is a feature that's notably absent for non-business accounts). Take advantage of this by highlighting products from your business on your story, with a swipe-up link that people can use to purchase.
Reposting user-generated content periodically is a great way to build your Instagram presence. It looks real and genuine. That rewards and recognizes your fans, and you may see big results in engagement and follower growth. Unfortunately, it is not so simple to repost users’ content. You should use third-party apps to do this. For example, every day Airbnb shares user-generated posts on Instagram. The team features the stories of their guests and those that provide local experiences or that share photos of any sort of Airbnb properties. Before sharing great photos and videos, they always ask for permission to share users’ content.
Considering that you have a finite amount of time, passive income should make up a large part of your work. And if you're serious about generating any semblance of income online, then passive income should be one of your sole goals and ambitions. Why? Simply this. Wouldn't you prefer to do the work one time and get paid repeatedly as opposed to relying on your time to generate that income?
For this reason, it’s common for businesses to update their featured URL to align with their most recent post. If you decide to add a link, be sure use a link shortener like HubSpot's Tracking URL builder or a tool like Bitly or Goo.gl to keep your profile from looking cluttered. Tracked URLs also help you better understand the amount of traffic Instagram is driving to your website.
Provide excellent customer service. Answer any questions buyers post as quickly as possible. Be professional and courteous. Positive communication builds your reputation with buyers and gets you return business. Also, package your product well and ship it out quickly. Allowing an item to become damaged or taking too long to ship can negatively affect your reputation among buyers. Wrap all items, especially fragile ones, in appropriate packaging. Commit to shipping items as soon as you receive payment.[32]

We use influencer marketing as part of our digital marketing strategy for Instagram, and it’s our favorite platform because we get the most engagement out of it. Our target audience includes fashion oriented people who attend music festivals and enjoy electronic dance music. We engage in influencer marketing in a variety of ways. First, we find popular accounts who meet our criteria for selection, and we engage in a conversation to gauge whether or not it’s a good fit. Often times, we will send one of our products to an influencer for free, in exchange for an honest review that is posted to their Instagram followers. For us, the most important element of an influencer package, aside from cultural fit, is the overall reach of their account. We measure our return on investment based on the number of impressions we receive, how much referral traffic we get, and of course – how many sales come as a result of the campaign.
If you have specific writing/journalism skills or are adept in various IT/software domains, freelancing may prove to be a lucrative source of secondary income. Even simple skills like data entry may be to your liking, provide you can offer at least 5-10 hours weekly.

Make use of this paid advertisement option, and get more potential customers.

As a marketer, one of the greatest trends of social media is the way it's drastically increased the number of collaborations between brands, making for some of the most compelling marketing creative I've ever seen. Though you might not necessarily be out to change the marketing game, consider partnering with other brands whose products complement your own to run joint marketing campaigns.
At G2 Crowd, we do employee Instagram takeovers on Fridays. For the whole day, one employee is given access to our Instagram account and shows our audience what their typical day looks like. Not only is this a fun way to get employees who aren’t in marketing involved in our social media strategy, but the takeovers have proven very successful regarding gaining followers (you can leverage your employees’ audiences).

Instagram has more than 300 million users with 90-percent of them being under 35 years of age. This social media outlet is for more than just sharing candid photos of friends and gaining a following. Businesses can successfully use Instagram for marketing purposes to boost brand relevance and increase revenues. It is important to take advantage of this social media outlet’s free status to save some costs on marketing fees.
Find a profitable niche. Starting with your interests, write down as many niche ideas as you can. Think about topics people might search online. Ideas include passions (like surfing or body building), fears (like spiders or speaking in front of crowds) and problems (like getting out of debt). Do keyword research to see it others are interested in the topic. Find out if a domain name is available that matches the keyword 100 percent. [7]

Putting the location tagging has a lot of benefits you should definitely try out. First of all, it helps improve your SEO and geo-targeting. In other words, people can view more relevant posts from a particular location. Secondly, you can increase engagement on your posts which will result in getting more followers. Finally, it lets your friends and family know your location. Once you add a geo-tag to your photos or videos, you can always edit your posts on Instagram. For instance, HelpCrunch promoted their geotag and encouraged users to share content to their location.
When marketing on Instagram, it is important that you add your Instagram activities to your daily routine. A lot of marketers may argue that you don’t have to post to your Instagram every single day. Which is absolutely fine. However, you do have to remain active by logging into your Instagram account regularly, interacting with content from your feed, follow other relevant experts and comment on photos/videos.
Join a startup accelerator: Another great option is to apply to a startup accelerator like Y Combinator, 500 startups, or TechStars, where a group of investors will help coach you, connect you with potential partners, and provide startup cash in return for a small stake in your company. The competition is tough to get into these, so don’t rely on them as your only path forward.
Another reason Instagram is so great for ecommerce has to do with the platform itself. As we mentioned in the previous chapter, Instagram has recently introduced a ton of new business-facing tools -- and there’s definitely more to come! Whether through links in Instagram Stories or shoppable Instagram posts, soon enough many of our online shopping experiences will start (and end) on Instagram.

Mechanical Turk: Amazon's Mechanical Turk is a resource for doing human-intelligence tasks, or as the site commonly refers to them, HITs. You get paid a very small fee for any given HIT and you'll need a good deal of volume to make a substantial amount of money. But it is a resource you can use in your spare time to generate a small income online.
Not only does this cut the time you spend writing your hashtags and captions, but it can help increase the reach of your posts as well. Plus, since the Instagram algorithm favors posts with specific, relevant hashtags, a great strategy is to create multiple Saved Captions with different hashtag blocks and to switch them up based on what you’re posting.
Signing up with Google AdSense will enable you to make money from advertising on your blog. Do you see all of those articles, tutorials and guides all over the Internet? Somebody wrote every one of them! If you have decent writing ability (no, you don’t need a journalism degree!), and knowledge in a few specific topic areas, you can be one of those writers. It’s an opportunity to make money online and without ever leaving your home. It’s also the kind of venture that can start out as a small side business, but grow into a full-time career.

If you have your own eCommerce store, social media is the perfect platform to showcase your products. Demonstrate your products in use and tell your social following why they need to buy your merchandise. Most social media channels allow you to add ‘buy’ buttons your pages, allowing your followers to easily click through to your site and make a purchase.
28. Subscription – If you think of something valuable (newsletter, online magazine, etc.) that you can consistently offer on a certain basis (weekly, monthly, etc.), you may want to offer a subscription service. This could be a fee charged each time your product is sent out or on a monthly basis. Either way, this has to be something that your customers can only get by subscribing to your website.
We don't have to tiptoe around it - social media marketing can be needlessly time consuming, and Instagram is a prime culprit. It takes a lot of time to take great photos, edit them, and craft clever captions. Save the time you do have left over by using a scheduling app like Later or Buffer to plan out your Instagram posts days (or weeks, or months) in advance.
So few people effectively use the DM feature in IG, and even fewer use it without sounding “spammy.” By Use Don’t Abuse, we mean DM should actually be DMR – Direct Message Relationships. Many who first learn about this feature try to cut and paste messages that fit for everyone. “Hey, love your profile! Want to buy something?” This is a surefire way to get blocked. Using this DM strategy, take some time to really create value in your DM. Give whoever you’re messaging something that they will actually want. Once you start gaining actual rapport, whoever you’re DMing knows that you’re not a bot and you’re not spamming them. Also, this is not a one-and-done strategy. If you get a positive response, be sure to thank them in the DM, and ask them if you can tag them in a thank you post. Be real. Be grateful. Give value. All things bots can’t do. Engage – don’t enrage

You'll also need ecommerce software, fulfillment software, worry about warehousing, customer service, refunds and so on. But that's not all. You'll also need traffic. Think search engine optimization, Facebook ads, and other social media campaigns. Sound like a lot of work? Sure, it is. Especially if you do it all on your own. You could opt for Amazon's platform, which might be the easier route. But, then again, at the end of the day, this is a serious business, which could produce significant profits. So you're either all in or you're not.
One factor that you must be aware of though is that Care.com is a peer-to-peer arrangement. That means that you will be in direct competition with other pet sitters in your area. You must price your services competitively in order to get business. Once you begin to develop a list of regular clients, you will be in a better position to raise your rates. This will be particularly true as you get referrals from those customers.

Starting a podcast, like making a YouTube channel or blog, comes down to telling interesting stories and building an engaged audience. I’m probably sounding like a broken record by now, but you need a niche that you’re interested in and there’s already a demand for. Come up with a list of topics you’d like to talk about and then search iTunes charts, Google Trends and other podcast research sites like cast.market to see what’s currently out there and popular.

Each company has a different target audience. So, your audience will have different active time on Instagram. Many social media specialists have wondered what time is that right time to post on social media. Social media specialists have to be mindful of the target audience’s location. For GREAT WINE, Inc., as we target audience in both the U.S and China, we depend on both time zones to schedule our posts. So, do not follow the posting schedule rule you find on the internet. However, note that do not overwhelm your audience; be mindful with your post frequency.

In any case, it’s super important to keep track of your Instagram Stories analytics to see what types of content your audience best responds to. As we mentioned earlier, when your Stories get a lot of views and engagement, this signals to the algorithm that you’re creating high-quality content, so your future Instagram Stories will appear higher up in your followers’ Stories queue.
