If you don’t know who your audience is, you will not know how to serve them better. Even if you manage to post great photographs and videos, you won’t find success unless your content is seen by your target audience. This is why you need to put an extra effort to learn more about your audience and the kind of content they like so that you can post more of it. Remember, the more effort you put into understanding and studying your Instagram followers, the better results you will see from your marketing efforts.
Considering that you have a finite amount of time, passive income should make up a large part of your work. And if you're serious about generating any semblance of income online, then passive income should be one of your sole goals and ambitions. Why? Simply this. Wouldn't you prefer to do the work one time and get paid repeatedly as opposed to relying on your time to generate that income?
Asking questions to your followers works great for increasing engagement. The reason being simple, people like to feel valued and heard. More specifically, they want you to see their opinions as important. By asking the right questions you create a more engaging community. It could be as simple as asking your followers about their day or what their immediate future plans are. Or you could simply take a photograph of your new office space and ask you followers for their opinions. The point is, you have to interact with them and get them to talk with you. Give your Instagram marketing a human touch. Initially you may not get the kind of response you are looking for, but gradually you will see more and more people replying back.

It may take time to build that audience that turns views into dollars. The average revenue per 1,000 YouTube views is just over $6. But with enough videos for fans to scroll through, those views can add up over time. While you're building an audience, you could also join an affiliate program related to your channel and make money online through affiliate links in your video descriptions.

Equally, you can charge businesses to ‘claim’ their listing, a method used by many large directory sites like Google Business and Yelp. This involves companies paying to upgrade their listing and adding information such as their web address, social media links, images, and more. Other revenue streams include charging for ad space, adding affiliate links and even charging for services and products on your directory site.
eBay: With eBay, the procedure is very similar. You simply start by becoming an eBay seller and stay in good standing by making sure your PayPal account is verified, and then you can sign up for your store. These three steps allow you to piggyback on eBay’s reputation, reach, and sales and marketing infrastructure in order to sell your own products.
Are you a professional in a field that can help answer questions for people looking for your expertise? A good bio is your elevator pitch. Try to include the essentials about you and what you do. Use target keywords and action verbs to help people find you. The SE Ranking keyword research tool can help you find the top-performing keywords and phrases. For example, Nathan Chan, the founder of Foundr Magazine, focused on the topic of success, brand and posting informative content for young startup founders and business owners on a regular basis.

With Instagram, we find it effective to use as many of the 30 hashtags that you’re allowed per post. Be sure the tags are relevant to your post and brand and that they are worthy of including (they give you that handy preview of how many people are using a given hashtag, very useful). We tend to use only a couple of tags in the primary Instagram post, but follow up with a comment that includes many additional relevant hashtags (this still counts when other people are searching for those tags). Additionally, though web traffic should not be a primary objective of Instagram; you can still send people to one link — the one that you place in your bio. This is why you’ll often see IG posts that say “Click the link in our bio for more info.” Instagram has intentionally not allowed users to post active links within the text section of their posts. So get crafty with how you entice followers to click through to your bio link, and change it frequently so that you’re not constantly repeating your ask.
Creating your own food blog, will not only be fun, but done well it should also be profitable. Link your site to affiliate cooking products, sell your food photos, create and sell your own physical cookbook, or launch a cooking app. Equally, you could turn your cooking blog into a membership site. You would then share all your content, including recipes, how to videos, food photographs, and much more, with only your paid up members.
Keep in mind that when choosing photos to repost to your account, it’s important to stay aligned with your theme and aesthetic. You’ll want to choose photos that are a natural fit and have a similar color scheme and editing style to your own feed. When someone is looking at your Instagram feed, it shouldn’t be too obvious which posts are yours and which photos are UGC that you curated.
Generally, people react well to promotions when combined with appealing product posts. Showcase your offerings with a product photo and add text (either on the photo or in the caption) that highlights an offer or coupon code. A best practice is to connect sales and discounts with an occasion like Black Friday or even the Super Bowl - this serves to make your promotion feel more topical, and can help you avoid cheapening your product in your customers' eyes (as this can happen if you're constantly giving out discounts for no reason).
While Etsy is fantastic for handmade goods that you’ve already created, if you’ve got killer designs that would look good on phone cases, t-shirts, or even wall hangings, pillows, and duvets, you can sell them on Society6 without paying anything to start. That means one design can be used to make a whole range of awesome products that are printed and shipped on demand whenever someone buys from you. Tutor students. Many families prefer the flexibility of using an online tutor. Depending on your background, you could be simply helping a child with homework or providing college-level support. You need to have your own computer and high speed internet. Experience required differs among companies. Some require “strong experience,” while others require a specific educational background. However, most companies do require a college degree.
Since time is the most precious commodity on this earth, invest the time at the front-end so that you can reap the benefits on the back-end. This means putting in a bit of sweat equity and not getting paid today. Rather, you'll get paid somewhere down the road. And you'll continue getting paid whether you keep building that passive income stream or you stop. It's obvious that this is the preferred route, but clearly the road less traveled.

The money is most certainly in the list. If you're at all interested in online marketing, setup email software and create a lead magnet that you can use in your sales funnel. Then, build up that list. It's often said that you can expect to earn about $1 per subscriber per month. If you have a list of 10,000 subscribers, that means you can earn roughly around $10,000 per month. You will need to deliver value and not pitch them on every email, but it is a very achievable goal in a short period.

For business owners who want to scale follower growth, it is important to build a strong Instagram community. If a user finds some time to read and comment on your post, take a few minutes to respond and thank them. Try to spend at least one hour on commenting, liking and following people. Ask questions or offer advice to your followers that will add a simple personal touch. If you actively engage with your audience, you can reach out to influencers and ask them to mention you. Making lunch meetings with influencers can also help you get more exposure. Introducing your Instagram profile through a friend will meet less resistance and result in getting new followers.
Creating space for banner ads on your website is another way to generate a revenue from adverts. However for this type of advertising you will need to contact businesses directly and ask them if they would like to advertise on your website. The upside is that you can charge a set amount, or even a recurring monthly fee, to business to promote their services on your site. Using a WordPress plugin like AdSanity is an effective way to manage this type of advertising.

Also, you can write guest posts for someone else’s blog. Finally, you can write blog posts for free in exchange for a byline.[20]

With more and more people buying products and services based on the content of their Instagram feed, it only make sense to partner with the right influencers to get your brand in front of them.

Remember that this person will inevitably be an extension of the way your brand represents itself on social media, so choose wisely! Reach out only to the influencers whose values align with yours.
Rather than making money through subscriptions, YouTube channels are based on a traditional advertising system. Meaning the more viewers you get, the more you make. Once you’re approved for the YouTube Partner Program and can start including ads on your videos, with every 1,000 views, you will make approximately $2-$4. Which might not seem like a lot, but if you have 100 videos with 5,000 views a month each, that would be $1,000–$2,000 already. Just imagine if your videos start hitting millions of views!

That means I have to try and get some small percentage of those people to buy something from me if I really want to do well. If I can’t get them to buy something then (in some cases) I have ads running on the site that will make me money anyways.
