Instagram offers a wide range of different filter options to make your images and videos compelling. The WebDam social media report revealed that 60% of the top brands use the same filters every time they post on Instagram. Maybe, some filters can be a catch for your business. To make your Instagram posts truly sing, you can use multiple third-party apps that help you edit your photos and create collages by mixing your photos (PicStitch), make appealing captions for your posts (Captiona), and shoot time-lapse videos (Hyperlapse).

As you start regularly putting out content, you’ll hopefully start to build a bit of an audience. But to start seeing real money from YouTube you need to market your videos elsewhere. Share your channel on Twitter and Facebook. Distribute videos anywhere else you can think of. Also, interact with comments and build a community around the videos you’re making so people will share it with their friends.

In addition to sharing your personal photos with your friends, Instagram can be a powerful marketing outlet for your business. The social media platform has around 800 million active monthly users, 25 million of which are business accounts. But even with its current popularity, businesses have yet to maximize its potential to engage current customers and attract new ones.
While keeping your tentative calendar in mind is essential, it’s even more critical to focus on the best times and days to post on Instagram. Sprout Social, a social media management software tool, conducted comprehensive research on the subject and determined that the best time to post is Wednesday at 3 p.m.; Thursday at 5 a.m., 11 a.m., and 3-to-4 p.m.; and Friday at 5 a.m.
Now you’ve got many different options to start earning online. If you saw something that really interests you, try it out and learn more about it. If you’re really wanting to make a full-time income online, you need to be dedicated to learning how to do what you want to do. There are tons of free resources out there. You just have to search for them!
Instagram isn’t for everyone but it most certainly can drive results when used appropriately. It’s important to identify and analyze your overarching digital plan and determine whether or not instagram is a good fit for your audience. From there, if you determine that instagram is a good fit and that you can connect with your audience using this channel, it’s time to plan.
One factor that you must be aware of though is that Care.com is a peer-to-peer arrangement. That means that you will be in direct competition with other pet sitters in your area. You must price your services competitively in order to get business. Once you begin to develop a list of regular clients, you will be in a better position to raise your rates. This will be particularly true as you get referrals from those customers.
Ucraft is probably best known as a website builder, but amongst its browser-based web tools you'll find an excellent logo maker. It is also completely free! The designs are compatible with all major social accounts: Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn or even Twitch, and you can download it as a PNG or an SVG file (although the latter will cost you $12, boo!).
In the same study, Simply Measured found that posts with at least one hashtag generated an average of 13 percent more engagement while posts with a location tag received an average of 29 percent more engagement. This was confirmed by their 2015 study where they found that posts with hashtags and a location tag received the highest average engagement.
When you’re not as well known as a Starbucks, your bio is definitely the most important step in your account set up. You have under 200 characters to tell the world (1) why your instagram page is worth following and (2) what you offer as a service or product. Additionally, you have a chance to take an approach similar to Starbucks and encourage users to share content relevant to your brand using a specific hashtag.
Better yet, you can even upload your own book to one of the world’s largest book sellers: Amazon. With Amazon self-publishing, you set the price, retain the rights to your book, and get access to Amazon’s massive audience. For every sale, you keep 70% with Amazon taking the remainder as a fee. If you want to get started, check out Leslie Samuel's great guide to selling eBooks online or follow Tara Gentile on CreativeLive as she shows you how to use your existing body of work to write an eBook within the next week. Who knows, you might just write one of the best business books of this year!
Clearly, there's a lot of demand on Amazon, and if any product is going to sell, it's going to sell well on Amazon. But the goal here is to source the right products that will easily sell at the world's largest online retailer. Generally, products between $10 and $50 sell very well here. Just be sure to do the right market research before jumping on this bandwagon.
People are turning to audio and visuals when it comes to technical subjects. However, you should consider doing an ebook first and turning it into an audiobook through a resource like Audible's ACX platform. You can hire a producer either through a royalty share program, so you don't have to shell out upfront cash, or you can do a pay-per-hour hire as well.
The first follows the startup path we outlined above: You have a disruptive idea for an app or piece of software, you validate the idea with real customers, and then raise money to hire developers or a development studio to build, launch, and scale your software. If you’ve done everything right, your software will be accepted to the Apple and Google Stores and you’ll make money every time someone downloads it or pays for a premium feature.

There’s no better way to step up your business game than to be active on Instagram. The platform is constantly making improvements, so individuals and businesses can get more out of it. Plus, there are tactics, aside from Instagram itself, to increase organization, engagement and visibility. Explore these tools and tips, and see which ones work best for you and your business.
As an internet entrepreneur, you'll need your own web presence:website, blog, social media platforms, landing pages, sales pages, banner ads, or e-commerce site. But instead of selling your own products, you sell the products of other companies. You can use several of these combinations, if you like, as long as you get your marketing message to the public.
This is similar in concept to micro-tasks, except that it is oriented toward specific services, such as cleaning services, pest inspection, handyman services, house cleaning, lawn & garden services or any of the skilled trades. It might actually be more accurate to say that it is a platform where skilled service providers can offer their services to site visitors, similar to Angie’s List.
TailorBrands promises not only a logo design but a full branding package with its browser-based software. The tool is simple to use and has no pre-made logos – instead, the platform is powered by AI to design a unique logo for every user. There is a cost involved here, but it is paltry compared to hiring an agency, starting at $2.99/month for its Dynamic Logo package and rising to $10.99/month for the full Premium package.
It’s one of the oldest and most proven ways to make money – buy low, sell high. The buy low part comes from searching garage sales, estate sales, and even thrift stores to find items that are in good condition (“gently used”) but selling well below what they would if they were brand-new. In this way, you might be able to acquire an item for $5, and later sell it for $50.
Instagram is an excellent platform on which to connect with various social media influencers. These social media stars have already built up a following of their own, so these posts typically perform exceedingly well. If you’re interested in connecting with an influencer, consider how other brands in a similar industry have gone about it before. Does the influencer post from their own account? Or, do they do a sort of “takeover” on the brand’s account?
Please note that some of the links below are affiliate links and at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission. Know that I only recommend products, tools and learning resources I've personally used and believe are genuinely helpful, not because of the small commissions I make if you decide to purchase them. Most of all, I would never advocate for buying something that you can't afford or that you're not yet ready to implement.

Another type of content that is anything that shows the inner workings of your organization. People are looking for transparency and an inside look at how things are built or done within your organization. For years, brands and organizations have built their businesses on the promise of 43 secret herbs and spices instead of giving the inside scoop.

Market your course: The beauty of using a course to make money online is that you can continue to sell it for as long as you’d like. Look for niche communities on Facebook, LinkedIn, or Reddit that might benefit from your content. Guest post on relevant blogs and sites. Look for anywhere you might be able to get in front of the right people. With just a few hours a month you can continue to generate sales.
With the growing popularity of Instagram marketing over recent years, the value is clear. If the features we listed above didn’t convince you of Instagram’s appeal, this might: the photo-sharing app recently celebrated 1 billion monthly active users. More importantly, these users are incredibly engaged, with more than 60 percent logging in every single day.
So, where are we supposed to turn to make money the legitimate way online? This isn't just about generating passive income; this is also about finding ways and means to create an active income through the conveniences afforded to us by the internet that will not only help us with our debt obligations, but also empower us to save, invest and get really rich in the future.
The most important part of such a collaboration is to estimate the ROI from a campaign. The practice shows that the ROI is very much determined by the brand’s intention. Many marketers are so focused on creating great content that they overlook what matters most - understanding the purpose of the collaboration, the objectives, and how to measure the ROI.
Make it simple for new visitors to capture your contact information or find your location. Add key contact details to your Instagram bio such email, address, phone number, etc. Include the best collections of your Instagram Stories Highlights. This is a great way to tell much more about your brand with new followers than you could do in your Instagram bio. For example, Firas Kittaneh uses Instagram Stories Highlights to share his daily activities, workout routines, and his best travel trips. They help you showcase the best content you want users to see immediately on your page.
Shortly after, Instagram was acquired by Facebook for $1 billion. Since the acquisition, Instagram has continued to roll out new features. The year 2012 was a big one for the photo-sharing platform, as it also rolled out its website interface in November. The website interface was, and still is, limited in functionality (users are unable to upload photos from a computer – they must use their mobile device). However, it allows users to scroll through their feeds and view other users’ profiles from their desktops.
Why? Well, an obvious reason is Instagram’s highly visual format. Because of this, the platform holds massive opportunities for ecommerce businesses looking to showcase their products. Whether through regular photos, videos, or Instagram Stories, millions of businesses have learned that building a visual presence on Instagram can hugely compliment their ecommerce marketing.
On your Instagram feed, you can like, comment, and message posts. You can also save them, using the ribbon icon in the right corner. When you tap it, you’ll see Save to Collection pop up along the bottom of the post. If the image or video you’ve saved falls into a collection, such as UGC content or inspiration, you can create a collection for that content.
Robo-advisors are diversified investment accounts that are automatically managed by a computer algorithm (as opposed to a human money manager). If you want to invest, but don’t have the money, or don’t want to invest with a money manager, robo-advisors are for you! Robo-advisors make investing easier—and cheaper—so they’re perfect for new investors.
Depending on your offering, connecting with these influencers is an exciting opportunity that’s unique to Instagram’s platform. If your target audience overlaps with their following, then leveraging influencer marketing can certainly pay off – but it doesn’t come cheap. Popular Instagram influencer Rachel Brathen, known to the Instagram world as her handle, @yoga_girl, charges upwards of $25,000 for a single post. However, one could argue that the exposure to her 2 million-plus followers is more than worth it.
Drop shipping is another great ‘hands-off’ way to sell products. Firstly you will need to find businesses that sell products in your niche that offer a drop shipping service. Then you will need to create a website promoting and selling the products. When you make a sale, you take the payment on your site and then the manufacturer ships the goods to the buyer. The profit comes from charging a higher rate than the manufacturer, and if you are selling a high number of products this can quickly add up to a healthy revenue.
In 2016, Instagram replaced its original logo with a new, more modern and colorful version. The original logo was beige and brown, resembling an old-school, polaroid camera that Outkast sang about in its best (and only) hit. The revamped purple and orange design took some getting used to. And by that, we mean that we all had to search for at least 30 seconds when trying to find and open the Instagram app.
Today, if you're at all serious about succeeding in any endeavor, whether online or offline, you have to deliver enormous amounts of value. Yes, you have to do the most amount of work for the least initial return. This is especially true online. Why? Because it takes time to build authority and create an audience, two primary ingredients necessary to succeed in the wonderful world of commerce on the web.
Take the time to browse through your brand’s audience. Look at what their interests are, what types of brand posts they respond to and what really gets them involved. Take a few notes and generate a few posts that resonate with specific groups, leading to more followers, in your audience. The more you engage with them, the better your online reputation as a brand is.
As I mentioned, one of the biggest benefits of having an Instagram for Business account is that you're able to link to external URLs from your Story (which is a feature that's notably absent for non-business accounts). Take advantage of this by highlighting products from your business on your story, with a swipe-up link that people can use to purchase.
The two best-performing types of hashtags for businesses are local hashtags (#vancouver, #yvr, #the6ix, etc.) and brand or product-related hashtags (#brunch, #fitfam, etc.). Find local hashtags by checking out posts from other local business or local business publications (e.g. @viawesome), and product-related hashtags from competitors or influencers within your industry.
Take surveys. You can earn $50 to $100 per month in cash and products by taking online surveys. Find survey sites by searching for “paid survey sites” online. Sign up for several survey sites to increase your chances of being selected for higher-paying surveys. Register with an email address, and check your email often so you can respond quickly to survey offers.
Fiverr: Israeli-based Fivver was started in 2010 by Shal Wininger and Micha Kaufam. It's a great resource for selling just about any service online. You can offer gigs as low as $5 but also get paid much more for upgrades and add-ons. There are plenty of providers earning 6 figures on Fiverr so it's definitely a worthwhile cause for generating a healthy income. Just ensure that you provide some serious value.
My name is Jamie Spencer and I have spent the past 5 years building money making blogs. After growing tired of the 9-5, commuting and never seeing my family I decided that I wanted to make some changes and launched my first blog. Since then I have launched lots of successful niche blogs and after selling my survivalist blog I decided to teach other people how to do the same.
It’s sometimes hard to comprehend just how much people love t-shirts. And with the right niche, marketing, and tools, you can create an online t-shirt business that makes you extra money online while you sleep. (Even Bloomberg and Forbes feature stories from entrepreneurs who've done just that.) Services like TeeSpring make it easier than ever to create a t-shirt drop-shipping business where they handle the sales, printing, and shipping, and you’re only responsible for design and marketing. For more tips, check out this simple guide to launching and marketing an online clothing store by my friends over at Selz.

Within this lecture we take on the Instagram starter mission. It is designed to give you an Instagram confidence, understanding, and inspiration for your business account. Though this isn't inherently a marketing strategy, it's a good idea to keep up with the different types of content Instagram lets businesses post. Consider using video for the times when a photo just won't do, or using Instagram's Carousel feature to tell a story or highlight a product in multiple photos. Utilizing different content forms allows you to maximize your reach on the platform - it's can often be more interesting for a follower to see a video on their feed amongst hundreds of other photos.
Matched Betting (not available in the USA) enables you to gamble (nearly) risk-free. I say nearly as there is always room for error! It involves placing bets on all outcomes of an event, using free online bets given out by the Bookies. Although it may take a while to get your head around the concept, Matched Betting can make a substantial addition to your monthly income.
You can work as a virtual assistant through dedicated websites, such as Upwork or Zirtual. All kinds of skills are needed, and compensation can vary anywhere between $10 per hour to $100 or more. Obviously, the higher pay will be to people who have more technical skills, such as web building skills and marketing. But you can find work doing administrative tasks at the lower end of the pay scale.
Join a startup accelerator: Another great option is to apply to a startup accelerator like Y Combinator, 500 startups, or TechStars, where a group of investors will help coach you, connect you with potential partners, and provide startup cash in return for a small stake in your company. The competition is tough to get into these, so don’t rely on them as your only path forward.
If my piece of content is so unique and valuable around hiking backpack recommendations, that other reputable outdoor websites are willing to link to it and build the page’s authority, then I’d have a very real opportunity to rank high in organic search for these search terms (meaning, my page will come up first when someone searches for hiking backpacks).
If you love to travel and find yourself randomly searching for airfare sales or browsing Lonely Planet, why not carve out a niche for yourself as a private travel agent? My friend, Mark Jackson did just that, making extra money online with his travel consulting side business. Start with word of mouth recommendations from friends who know they can count on you for the cheapest flights, and then move on and create a Facebook or LinkedIn group to invite people who want to stay on top of the latest deals. Eventually you could spin this into a full-time consultancy teaching people how to make their dream trip a reality.
You might think is a no-brainer, but you'd be surprised! If your posts get hundreds or thousands of comments, this strategy is less feasible - but for a small business looking to grow its following and get more customers, responding to every (real) comment you get is an awesome way to build personal relationships with both potential and existing customers.
Influencer marketing on Instagram still earns the most engagement for businesses. Before collaborating with influencers, decide how you want to expose your brand (a product review, a giveaway, a special event or give some tips) and reach new followers. Choose influencers whose values are similar to yours and that have a good connection with their followers. Note that you also need to have a certain budget for this, or offer the influencer the ability to try your products for free in case you cannot afford to pay for a sponsored post that highlights your brand and directs followers to your site.
